You can sort club members by the last login, fan count and that sort of thing. I don't obsess over this sort of thing but I glance just to check where I'm at in relation to everyone else. If someone's fan count has not gone up in weeks, yeah you're not doing careers. If you're atleast trading shoes then you're contriubting to the club somehow. But if you're doing neither and you're like a ghost just along for the ride, wouldn't they be a better fit for a more inactive club? We booted an inactive guy to bring in more active players person multiple times. I think the unofficial rule is if you don't log in for four days you get the boot, but I'm just saying. We dont *need* more active players, but I wouldn't mind it because while we are climbing, it's gonna be a lot harder to keep climbing. You can run through dozens of careers and not get a 3 star blue spark, they're extremely rare. For CM's, it's okay to settle with 8 star spark parents. If you don't get started you might not even have one parent done before the CM. Keep going as long as you want but you'll have to draw the line somewhere. If you're trying to breed the same character/style over and over again, you're more likely to get a 9 star you can keep reusing. For now just go with that one, it looks good enough to get started.

You could use it to make your Ace, and then when you're "content" with an Ace that is "good enough" then you can go back to trying to make a stronger parent and redo the process. That way you'll have something ready to go if you don't get your 9 star spark in time, food for thought

So why are pace chasers bad for the upcoming cup? Gourmand comes stapled to the likes of Oguri which only work in the pace role, so why is everyone forcing end closers? Is it because people are bringing back Evil Natures even though her gold debuff doesn't work in long?

Long races are all about stamina and with stamina being capped at 1200, your pace chaser with 1200 might get unlucky and not proc recovery and on top of debuffs be out of stamina before the end of the race which is a death sentence.

They're not bad per se. They're the second best option. But the reason is because Pace Chasers consume way, way more stamina in a race that's all about having the most stamina. End closers don't have that restriction and don't have to max out stamina as much as a pace chaser does. A pace chaser will be left with about 200 less stamina at the end of a match than an end closer, and that can make all the difference.

The other issue is that the acceleration skills that are good on this track (the ones that activate early on the final corner) are end closer only. Red shift, shooting to victory etc are not good on this track.

So end closers have two big things going for them: better stamina, meaning they can lean more into speed and power, as well as an acceleration ability that's strong for the track (straightaway spurt). Now before you call me a metafag and all of this is hooey kaplooey just remember: the game has been out for four years. These maps have been run over and over again in Japan. It's a "solved" game. If you don't believe me how it works, they have it all mapped out on which abilities are the strongest on which stages. That's just how this particular course is, it's strong for end closers. Pace chasers are still a strong choice though for the same reason they were strong last time and as you say, they have access to lots of good recovery skills naturally without having to search around for other cards. A pace chaser is also an easier character to build, and one people have more access to. Really though you COULD make any style work if you invest in it good enough, but against the strongest end closers you'll still probably get edged out.

Pace chasers require more stamina and they just don't have any highlight abilities/horses especially for this track set up. They also eat every single debuff. End closers take less stamina, can avoid a lot of debuffs.

You don't need to listen to a youtuber to plug in the values yourself and see what works. The game has been out in japan for four years, we've got a lot of data to go off of. Nothing is different about our version than the version they had when these races went live. We already know the strats. Nobody is saying you can't run pace chasers, but to ignore what makes them not as good as end closers on this stage is being willfully ignorant. A long race is naturally going to favor the classes that aren't as stamina hungry.

For the previous CM, Red-Shift was mandatory to get the edge. It was not an option not to have it because it was that fucking good and everyone was running it. Straightaway spurt will be the same thing for end closers and unfortunately for the other classes, there's no other good acceleration abilities that are on THAT level for this course. It's not rocket science

I like CM and the rewards are good. But some people take it to the extreme and start breeding specific freaking grandparents. With like 5% chance of getting 3* sparks ain't no way in hell I'd waste weeks farming specific parents. Just using daily runs to build the best CM uma you can is natural.

Obviously this is all theoretical, you can luck fag your way into all sorts of positions. The end closer isn't guaranteed to win, and very well might lose to a well crafted front runner team or a late charger that nobody prepared debuffs for or whatever. I'm just saying, you guys were there for the last CM. You saw that there was a common template that people were following, and they were following it because it was effective. Golshi was winning a lot of races in the last CM, I mean a LOT. Even people with tricked out Oguris were still losing to a random golshi that comes charging up in the last second. Just expect more of that for this CM. Really fucking strong goldships everywhere, even stronger than last time. You can beat them, but it's not gonna be easy. She's gonna win a lot. Taishin is good apparently, but not many people have taishin. Everyone has goldship and she's easy to build, only needs one cheap ability, and she's already got a huge advantage over so many other 'perfect' horses, that's the problem. Everything is in her favor. Of course, you can luck your way to a victory, but the odds are that she's more likely to luck her way to victory.

So play whatever character you want. I always think you should do that. And I know many of you had succes in the last one. So train hard. HOWEVER...it wouldn't hurt to throw a golshi on your team as insurance. Because it's not like it's hard to build. Literally just grab one ability and two gold heals and max out her stamina. She'll probably win like 3/4 of the time. Or get creative and train up your Mayano to be an end closer, she's only one spark away from an A end closer. Lastly, it's still not a bad idea to run a debuffer to pick on the people that didn't bring enough stamina to the match. So really the "safe" strategy is not too different from last time. Ace of your choosing, a golshi, and a debuffer. But you guys get creative, break the mold. DEFY the odds. I'm not trying to box anyone in.
