RE5 had it's problem with the "white savior" trope.
But honestly it would be cool to have some vidya set in Africa and it's history, lots of potential.
However like /v/, devs don't really read history and just rather focuses on "modern" games or milks Europe/Japan when it comes to any historical vidya.
Same with South-America and SEA area being ignored almost completely as setting in vidya industry. I guess a game like that wouldn't make as much money so it would be considered a bad investment.
Kinda sucks how vidya industry is obsessed with money and sales, gamers included. If game sells a lot, it's a good game. If it doesn't, it's a bad game.
