A lot of his streams are just really stupidly laid out.
He needs to stop doing game packs, he wants to show off a bunch of different games, wants to do it blind, but also doesn't want to play them, start at the beginning, and play them for 5 minutes each.
It's a really stupid structure for a stream.
His streams are really, really vapid anymore.
But the worst streams overall are his "stream friends" streams. They're so fucking awkward, those people he plays with have absolutely no charisma, talent, or chemistry with Vinny. Conversations just peter out with forced awkward laughter, it's really hard to listen to. It's clear he doesn't know these people at all.
I'm only putting him in the background when I have absolutely nothing else to listen to, and even then I'm only getting about a quarter in before saying, "god, nothing is happening" and turning it off.

Wasn't there some big leak release about the speculated incomes of several hundred streamers one time? I recall that based on people's reactions to the numbers, they could get pretty large. Not sure those numbers were wholly accurate but I assume they were enlightening about how much these guys make.

That's just streaming in general. Chat and discord engagement is utterly dominated by such individuals, primarily people who are perpetually online and consistently tend to hold the same views (usually very progressive to a fault), which then shapes the stream culture depending on how much the streamer goes out of their way to appeal to them. Even if the streamer just ignores them, they'll stick around; make a single wrong joke and it becomes a crisis that affects all parts of their job, even the community that orbits them off stream.
The only immunity I've seen against forming this kind of community is to be the kind of individual who does not coddle their audience. For instance the popular streamers I've seen who are able to make a sexual reference or use any word that starts with 't' without subsequently getting their chat drowned in the lgbt/pride heart emoji spam for a whole minute straight (the sort of spam that is all too common depending on the streamer) are the ones who frequently make a point to disagree with or 'punch down' at their chat. Basically, you gotta be rough with them, the perpetually online sort of viewer/chatter that usually pushes that kind of dialogue or the spamming tend to only take root for a 'comfy and wholesome' streamer that coddles them. But its probably too late to get rid of them once they've taken up residence.
