The only remakes we have are FRLG, HGSS, ORAS, and BDSP

HGSS were just as faithful as people give the other games shit for it just added extra bloat instead of improving the problems of the originals.

FRLG were even more faithful yet it doesn't get any shit cause it was the first ones.

BDSP were obviously awful.

ORAS were faithful to RS but remixed the story enough that it felt really fresh compared to the originals.

Realistically any gen 5 remake is not going to have a dream world equivalent at all. Even if they went all out, I feel like that concept just doesn't have as much meaning or value today.

After the trash heap that was BDSP, ORAS should be seen in a better light. It wasn't *just* RS but with annoying friendship mechanics and bad controls. It was RS with a new story. It's different enough from RSE to warrant playing it whereas BDSP is just not worth playing.
