finished mgs1 yesterday, it felt more like an adventure game, or metroidvania rather than stealth game, had fun but I doubt i'll replay it, those boss fights are a pain in the ass.

Now im playing this, feels like a proper stealth game, more enemies patroling, reinforcements that stays on the area, its fun. The only thing i dont like are the cutscenes, they're too long

Tried Ridge Racer V after spending 30 hours in R Racing Evolution and was severely disappointed: it's a fucking cart racer with drifts and shit. I do not enjoy at all.
Give me some more good arcade but with reasonable physics PS2 racing games. Think NFS Underground type of deal, where cars still feel like cars on tarmac, not ice; but you don't need to slow down to a crawl for every turn.
Or even better some simcades, like R Racing and Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano.

Just use Mega Bezel. There's hundreds of different presets and like 1000 customization options in the menu if you want to get autistic about it. I use these presets as a base and modify based on game.

I only learned a few years ago that PCSX2 has a nightly. With fucking Vulkan support and everything. Was game changing. I learned this around version 1.8 or whatever. For years I thought that garbage 1.6 was the "final" version of PCSX2. I recently installed the latest nightly which is like 2.5 or something and tried Drakengard 2, which had major graphical issues back in the day when running it with anything above like 1x or 2x internal resolution. It runs flawlessly now without any special configuration or downloading any custom pnach files.

I had also been playing Drakengard 3 for a long long time, and noticed that over time its quality degraded harshly. To the point it would reliably crash within 45-60 minutes of playing. It soured me even though I was on route D.

The thing is, downgrading my RPCS3, or even using an old backed up install I had on an external (like a time capsule of RPCS3 and Drakengard 3 from years ago) didn't change this. It's like Windows updates are more the problem than something inherent to RPCS3. You can turn off auto-updates/decline them.

Actually, I formatted my PC to a fresh install of Windows 10 a few months ago and realize I haven't played D3 on RPCS3 in this new system environment yet. I should really give it a try.

"Soft-modded" my X360 with Bad Update 1.2 (80% success rate, loading XeUnshackled in under 1 minute) and have been playing old X360 games that I missed since I was young, ignorant and poor (It was the first console I purchased myself after getting my first job.).
Also, Original Xbox backwards compatibility is fucking dogshit so not able to play some of the OG Xbox games I wanted to that I missed out on but downloading a fuck ton that I can.
The whole reason in even softmodding the X360 was so that I could play the best version of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy.

One tip for Haunting Ground that helped a lot is that the music will abruptly cut off completely if there's an enemy in an adjacent room to yours

Yeah, ShaderGlass will still capture PCSX2 in fullscreen as long as it's overlaid correctly. Just make sure to toggle "Capture Cursor" off and set the target to the PCSX2 window again once you've re-entered fullscreen-sometimes it lags behind if you switch focus too quickly. Also, mess with the layering priority if the shader stops showing up properly.
