No. Pirated games can't be removed from my library, I can't get banned from them, and don't run worse because of antipiracy checks that get circumvented anyway.

This is a question of economics. Some people can easily pay these prices, some can do it but at longer intervals, some can't pay that much. It comes down to what percentage of population is in each of these categories.

I'd buy physical copies sure. Overall I think it's not worth buying digital games at all, if you don't care about achievements and aren't an autist obsessing about having a library on Steam pirating gives you a much better no bullshit experience. I wish it wasn't like that, I still have a large collection of physical games for PS4, Xbone, Wii U and various older consoles but I stopped buying games at the tail end of the PS4 lifecycle because physical is basically digital with extra steps.
As for the Switch a hacked Switch is so much better than the vanilla experience, and it's much more than just piracy, you can run homebrew, you can run emulators, you can run retroarch, you can overclock for better performance. I bought a Switch V1 on release so I was forced into piracy early on, the only game I own for it is BotW.

I believe there's more to it, there is a cultural and personal element, if you are used to tinkering with your shit and pirating the media you consume you're gonna pirate out of habit simply because you can. I have a coworker who could more than afford buying whatever he wants on Steam Day 1 yet he's torrenting like a motherfucker and waits for cracks on Denuvo games.

No. The price is never the issue. When I pirate, it's almost always becaues I am uncertain if I'd like the game or not, and don't want to waste money, even if it's cheap. "But muh refund policy" 2 hours is not always enough, and refunding is more of a hassle than simply uninstalling.
The other times I pirate, is if the game seems fun, but I don't like the devs, or something else about the game, and thus makes me not want to support them.

I do pay for the majority of the games I play though. And sometime, although rare, if I like a game enough, I will buy it after beating it just to support.

The only reason game prices are so low in Russia is because it's the only way to compete with piracy, so yes, people tend to buy if the price is low.
If Americans and Europeans started pirating games on a massive scale, you'd see Nintendo putting their games on sale for $40 tomorrow and begging you to put dollars and euros in their pockets, instead of suing you like you're whores.

No. Price has never been what has caused me to Pirate because I live in the UK and we have something called a "second hand game market" as well as Amazon rarely sticking to the RRP as many Switch 2 games are currently available for less than £40 despite the RRP generally being around the ballpark of £60-70.
For me piracy has always been about convenience. For example: why shell out the money for an N64, N64 controller, Transfer Pak (which will likely have worn connector pins for both the part that connects to the controller and the part that connects to the GB cart), Copy of Pokemon Stadium and a Gen 1 game when I could just download the roms and use Rosalie's Mupen GUI to facilitate the same thing much more conveniently with no hardware issues, speed up, save states so I can stop playing whenever needed AND play the games in 1080p?
At most all I would have to buy is an N64 style USB controller and even then, that's only IF I want to, otherwise I could easily just use something I already have lying around like a PS4/5 Controller or Switch Pro Controller.

Even investors agreed with me that Nintendo alienated its core audience by moving to granny shit. Every major franchise was improved by ditching the Wii. Every Zelda, Mario, Kirby, DK, etc. game is improved tenfold over earlier Nintendo eras. People don’t understand that you don’t need to buy a new game every month anymore because these aren’t bad games.
