No you don't. Your first step is immediately wrong, consider educating yourself. An RTX3060 is around 150-200 bucks now and plays new slop at 1080p. Hope this helps.

I hear this a lot and I'm starting to believe it's mostly crap.

I just got Inzoi the other day and all I ever heard for ages is about how the game runs like complete shit, needs a supercomputer, crashes all the time, etc., etc. My computers is a 5 year old budget computer. It didn't even cost $1000 in total. I don't meet the minimum requirements. I can still play this game with a solid 50fps on medium settings. That's more than good enough performance on a 5 year old budget machine that doesn't meet minimum specs. The game is shit and I wasted my money but that's beside the point. I think people are vastly exaggerating how poor performance is these days. I think people I trying to put on ultra high setting which is something not intended to be run well on current hardware and is more about future hardware when they could run it on high with virtually no perceptible difference in graphics perfectly well.

You absolutely do not need more than 1080p. There is a reason why it has been standard for almost 20 years. Pictures look perfect at that resolution. Any more and you won't see any difference.

the performance trade-offs for bleeding edge tech are never worth it. We need games looking 10 years older in exchange for infinite fps, responsiveness and lower dev costs. Shutting low end gamers out of the market helps nobody. The more artificial barriers, the less attractive your product becomes. For a game to be good it must first run without being a pain in the ass.
