No, I'm done. I realized I wasn't very invested and would push dangerous tiles out of sheer boredom, tired of all the bullshit. For me, I feel like this game is only worth playing with real money at stake, that would make me at least somewhat invested.
So I'm only going to pay mahjong using real money now. In other words, never again.

There's your problem. If you turtle then you'll never deal in, it's true (and fairly easy to do so), but all that means is that you'll slowly bleed points to tsumos and noten payments while the other players are dealing into your toimen and letting him get a coolcat completely unopposed. You need to find the right balance between defence and attack. Playing too cautiously is just as bad as playing too recklessly.

It's still the same show with nothing happening, but now the dialogue will mention reddit or sneed from time to time.
To put it in other words, if you think Hellsing Abridged is a masterpiece and not an unfunny cringefest then the trollsubs will make you fall in love with the show

How many turns was it before they completed it?
13 Orphans is the most common yakuman to intentionally go for, and really easy to spot through discards. If a player is in a position where only a yakuman will change their standing and you see them building it, don't fuck around with it until you see 4 of an honor/terminal in the discards and you know it's dead.
Complain to me if they get you with a turn 3 riichi baiman waiting on two different honor tiles
