There is an online server where an internal “reliable” insider within the SE team has shared some information about ML, prior to the cancellation of this game. Recently, this SE source has shared this screenshot of an internal SE document showing the list of possible worlds. The insider clarifies that it is this list of worlds was the “initial” one during the early stages of Quattro development. Because the current development differs a lot from this list, he stresses that Disney has “demanded” that the IPs of those worlds have to pass WDC's quality values. In early SE and WDC meetings, the SE team provides a list of films they “would like” to include in the next KH project and Disney gives their “preliminary” go-ahead. In the following meetings, it is decided whether that world will be confirmed if the “scenario” design is suitable for Disney. So, there are quite a few worlds with the (仮). Also, in those meetings WDC “guides” SE to choose some movie that is not listed, even gives him access to unseen footage of those movies to “facilitate” the development. There are other listings with quite a few worlds that were discussed by Disney for inclusion in Quattro but were discarded in subsequent internal SE and WDC meetings.

ML was going to have several unreleased worlds from those discard lists but ML was “temporarily” cancelled.

The SE insider says that the team is “working” to recover all the resources and materials that were made in ML for the future of the saga. As a curiosity, he says that Quattro will have some keyblade or heartless from ML. And Disney has already been able to see some of the new worlds and they have been “pleasantly” surprised, even expressing that it looks much better than the original movie.

Way of the Water has the timeskip at the beginning without the human faction which is the perfect frame for making a story involving Sora vs. heatless conflict happen, and it's one of Fox' stupidly higher grossing movie series. To be fair, the worlds have been surprisingly vague since the first game. Monstro is just "A world" flying in the sky, Beast's Castle, Atlantica, and Pride Lands obviously take place on variations of Earth but we don't know how far they stretch beyond the areas we see, and there's a world that pops out of thin air every 5 minutes, along with the implication that every book in existence contains one, and yet we only see Winnie the Pooh make use of that.

I think you should play the others first anon. KH3 is very divisive. I personally enjoyed it. The comvat is fun. The Disney Worlds are the best in series (excluding maybe Frizen, it was gutted by what Im assuming Disney regulations.) But the main story takes a backseat throught the game and feels rushed on the last few hours. Remind DLC helped a lot tying up the Dark Seeker saga but the story its overrall decent even with its problems. I would recomend buying if you are investes in the series or if you really like the movies the Disney Worlds are based on.

Seems like the downward spiral into Final Fantasy edgedark shit is now irreversible. Yes, the Ansem and Organization fights at the END of 1 and 2 were memorable but that's amongst great encounters with Jaffar, Hades, Ursula, Maleficent, Barbossa, Scar, Shan Yu, etc. What's even the point of Disney being in this shit anymore? In KH3 the Disney worlds just felt like an obligation they had to waste 20 hours of your time with before the complete onslaught of edgy cutscenes they clearly wanted to do from the beginning. Just no personality at all.
