That's literally the entire appeal. It's a game that demands your fullest attention and effort. The game isn't here for you, you're here for the game. It's the gaming equivalent of a dominatrix. But at least you already recognize that it's simply not your cup of tea instead of something objectively wrong with the game

It's good and much needed but has less artistic merit than the original. Kinda like if you took your grandma's recipes and opened a professional kitchen. Better ingredients but there's a lack of soul somehow

The joke is that Peter is being deliberately vague, yeah, but his meaning and the meaning of most people who use it is still obvious. "It insists upon itself" is a way of saying something is pretentious and attempts to force the audience to feel emotion instead of organically earning it. Like, unironically, "it insists upon itself" perfectly describes Requiem for a Dream in my opinion. And Seth Macfarlane said he got "it insists upon itself" from his English professor, so there was always meaning to it

I like it. Invasions are fun, because most people don't know what to do since it's so rare.

Imagine if you really liked Super Mario Bros, and then Microsoft announced they were going to have a Blizzard make remake of Super Marios Bros 1 with a modern interpretation. That's this game. Sony bought the rights to the Demon Souls so they just had another studio do a remake of it.

Just got a Ps5 Pro and enjoying it so far. Was like $25 bucks so it was cheap. Played ps3 version 2 or 3 times, i cant recall and its still a challenge. The only thing thats really getting to me is the music in the nexus sound really muted and in the background. I remember it being louder.

Unique and innovative.
There's a harder gothic horror vibe to it than Dark or Elden, that's really distinct.

Really felt special playing.
Got it on initial western relase from Atlus, but I didn't fully beat it until after beating Dark Souls 1.

Got the platinum trophy. It's still demon's souls but bluepoint raped the aesthetic to death. Pretty sad about that, demons souls was very aesthetically pleasing and calming with its ghostly and ethereal sfx and animations and now it's just generic.
