FEH has been alive for much longer and has had more time to "get it right".
A lot of characters still get boiled down to an anime trope in FEH, but give them enough alts and sometimes they can do something correctly. Engage was seemingly running out of VA budget as potentially shown with the rings not having normal supports.
Basically, one has more space and thus more chances to get it right, and the other is technically limited.
