"Daily" and "weekly" most likely refer to rotation cycles. This is because during the beta, people were complaining that there was no variety to the grind since people had no incentive to do commission types they didn't want to do so their answer to that is putting commission types on a rotation so people aren't just spamming annihilation or something.

Very similar to wuwa. It had a cool jumping mechanic. Enemies were just a suggestion, you could spam E and mow them down without stopping which felt very stupid. The main problem with the gameplay is that there is no dedicated aim button so pressing RMB automatically fires your ranged weapon which means that you can't aim glide but once you swapped over to your ranged weapon you will stay with it until you start meleeing with LMB so you can still glide in the air by shooting/reloading (best way being reloading after each shot).

Well Warframe has been like that since at least the closed beta where they had to build their playerbase from nothing other than Dark Sector fans. It's basically just F2P Diablo with guns. League used (dunno about currently) a similar model as well. TFD seems to be scraping by as well
Now will it succeed? I think that mostly depends on how the developer handles things. Personally I hope they have more engaging bosses than Warframes, but "Weebframe" might be a hard sell to people already playing it

Devs would need to powercreep these strong characters every single patch in order make players continue playing to get the materials needed for a new character.

How does the game play? Now that they're going all in on being a Warframe clone, it comes down to if the grinding itself is fun. Warframe focuses on its movement and experimenting with various cool, overpowered abilities. DNA can build itself up as the alternative for anime fans if it nails those and manages just enough of a story that people get invested in its girls to the point of buying their favorite's skins.
If not, it will die very quickly, as regular live service games are only slightly less competitive than the current gacha landscape.

I've played my fair share of gachas, my dear monkey seanigger friend.
As I've said, you dont grind in gachas, you just sweep stages and thats it - takes around 5-10s so spend all stamina avaliable for a day. If new character comes out and you havent collect enough pagpag by that point of time then you are fucked exactly because you cant grind anything - you have to wait several days/weeks until you can get required amount of pagpag to level up character/weapon, and of fucking course you cant grind rolls to get aforementioned character.

It's a matter of how it's broken up. Gachas restrict you with their stamina system so you'll only play for 15 minutes to knock out your dailies, longer sessions being reserved for story updates and the like. Regular games are designed around the idea someone might be playing for an hour or two per session, and are paced accordingly.
Gacha gamers fall into groups that either do not have the time for regular games, or no longer enjoy them, so they will take the former every time.

Fair, there's still some incentive. But it should be a bit weaker. Unfortunately balance in these games can never be truly good unless they're allowed to nerf characters, which seems massively unlikely.

I agree with the other guy though, genshin's launch roster designs were... nice, I suppose. Solid 8/10 roster. But certainly not enough to achieve that level of massive popularity. The reasons the game exploded into the normiesphere were:
