I don´t like how they made a 180 with her whole personality centered around being sleepy, the point of her ending in FE3 is that she was now free from danger and able to enjoy the outside world with her new friends, of course she would always try to be awake to spend time with them! Well let me chime in with my Fell Xenologue maddening playthrough before chapter 11. Fucking hard. The units I intended to use are useless (jean, framme, clanne, anna) so the SP I fed to them are wasted. I had to resort to Assign Decoy, a skill I usually avoid on a regular playthrough because it's too game breaking (similar to Chalice). PP is fucked because I haven't gotten the strong units, dancer, byleth/corrin emblem. Most probably, have to build EP, but dodgetanking should be hard because of no engraves.

Chapter 1 itself wasn't too bad, just a standard turtle until the boss rushes forward. My Alear ended up 1v1ing the boss at one corner as I rushed him there for the emblem energy, while the others held off the boss-empowered wolf at the other corner.

Don't bother with 1 or Gaiden unless you're interested in seeing how far the series has come
3 is a different enough experience from 12 that it could be worth it if you like 11
4 and 5 are fantastic games that you should try (though I guess if you still have other FE games to play, you can wait to see if the 4 remake meme will finally happen)
From the GBA games, 6 is the only one that's challenging, but that's partly because of bad game mechanics, still worth a try. 7 is a good beginner game, but rough for experienced players. 8 is Proto-Awakening and arguably the easiest game in the series.

Nice, thanks for the update anon. Yeah, Assign Decoy is going to be fucking huge, especially on the last map. I found making Madeline an Assign Decoy bot is a good idea, because she's not that useful for combat. Dodgetanking is not really viable at all, but I still grinded Sword Agility 3 on Lapis, and she was able to do a bit of it in terrain, but I never really counted on it. Chapter 1 was a bit easy because Jade (and I assume Louis) took almost zero damage from the basic wolves. I assume you're at chapter 2 now, good luck with it. I hate to put it this way, but 1 and 2 are fairly easy, 3 is the first one that'll make you want to tear your hair out.
