People play games nowadays on big ass 4K monitors with their eyes glued to the screen, walking around in a fucking city builder in first person mode. This necessitates big textures and big file sizes, you can't really go around this unless you want copy-pasted assets everywhere. If a game ends up with a smaller installation size, a compromise have been made.
Cyberpunk relies very heavily on texturing everything with preset materials and fancy shaders, and if you look beyond all the path traced lighting, you'll see that the environments in particular suffer from this. It can look awfully sterile at times.
Far Cry 6 is another example which is a large open world game thats "only" 37gb (originally). This is achieved by making a lot of the textures (decals and similar) grayscale masks, which are later colored by the engine, and then using the three color channels of a regular texture file to store three of these masks. Beside the obvious limitations this imposes, it must be a pain the ass to work with.
