What are you talking about? For the original trilogy, almost all of the games require you to emulate the versions that came out in their original 1-2 years of release. Rayman 1 needs you to emulate PSX or Saturn, Rayman 3 needs you to emulate GCN or Xbox, as the HD port from 13 years ago was for 7th Gen only, and Rayman 2 almost needs you to emulate Dreamcast unless you're willing to deal with community fixes and such for the PC version

Redemption is a remake of Rayman 1 and is so wildly different to the original that it's more accurate to call it an original fan game that's just an alternate Rayman 1
Even if you want to recommend Redemption, it only makes sense to play it after having at least played the PS1 version even though many of the original worlds mix and match level design from the different versions together.

It's not entirely clear. ubisoft has been chasing tax breaks and grants around the world very hard, and they're post METOO staffing has been emphasizing brown people. Some of it turned out to be a scam where Ubisoft used the studios in Singapore as vacation spots, and the employees as a harem. They just shut down an entire indian studio that was working on the POP remake, because they produced absolutely nothing usable after several years....and they're still above 19 thousand employees.
