In the first manhunt each of the gangs were memorable, but in Manhunt 2 only the pervs were memorable. Also the perv levels were so peak and kino.

There's a reason why this game has more cultural relevance compared to other "edgy" games or even the second game. It had an actual vision to it even with the jank ass stealth mechanics. You can make an edgy game right now if you want to (a lot of people did back in the 00s) but it won't reach the status that Manhunt 1 does.

2 isn't bad but Rockstar tried to rely on something they just weren't good at, which was writing. Manhunt 1 is kind of accidentally good because of how minimal the writing and backstory was while they focused on the style and atmosphere instead. Frisay the 13th had a cool twist in the first movie, had some barebones gore, and Jason's backstory were well-thought and cool. It holds no candle to something like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jaws, both OG of course or Nightmare on Elm Street, but it still stomps Halloween into the ground due to how retarded and shallow Halloween was.
