Not a GPU, but that was the model I had. I had a Diamond Monster 3D for my original Voodoo, though. Had an AGP Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 for 2D stuff. Picrel (tiny, but the only one I could find) was my last pre-GPU card.

I never had crashes with games, and mine never died. Only changed it for a 3090 Ti because of the Stable Diffusion bullshit. Probably wouldn't have needed a new one if that had worked from the beginning.

Exactly. People keep forgetting the whole point of owning your own GPU is control. No latency, no compression artifacts, no needing to rely on a server farm halfway across the country that goes down every two weeks for "maintenance." Plus, once they start locking graphics presets behind subscription tiers or AI policies, they'll wish they still had a 1080 Ti in their case. The future isnβt cloud-rendered; itβs local and loud with fans whining like jet engines.

It cost me $50 brand new and allowed me to play just about everything I wanted. That in a pre built E7500 Core 2 Duo system running Windows Vista was my real introduction to PC gaming.
