if you really get lucky like that and dont have any standout technical skills, old money connections, or stellar interpersonal/manipulation skills, its kind of hard to justify working when you'll never beat your existing residuals
imagine how demoralizing it would be to put your back into a project for years, only to see a return that's 1/10 of your passive income
