I liked Legend's locales but it was the first reboot game that had invisible walls everywhere. One of the best things about Anniversary was how free the platforming was, you could go everywhere. In Legend, as soon as you go off the beaten path, you'll get cucked by an invisible wall.

It's always sad to see how much Lara has been Flanderized over the years starting with Angelina Jolie's movie. OG Lara's parents weren't only both alive, they were cunts that disinherited Lara when she decided to be a tomb raider instead of a posh British lady going to balls and marrying young. The famous "Croft Manor" from the classic games isn't even her manor it's her aunt's who decided to let her stay there after her parents told her to fuck off. You can even see them in Chronicles' intro/main menu visiting Lara's grave. Classic Lara raided tombs because she wanted to, because she loved the thrill and the adventure and between you and me because she went crazy after her plane crashed in the heart of the Himalayas and she survived alone up there for two weeks before being found. She became a somewhat deranged thrill seeker after that traumatic experience, someone that only feels alive when putting her life in danger. But then the movie came out and it in Lara's daddy died :( and that was the beginning of the end. They implanted that characteristic into game Lara moving forward, with LAU Lara having "muh mummy is in Avalon I need to find her :(" then Survivor Lara having "muh daddy was killed by Trinity I need to finish what he started :(". They took away all her agency by having her raid tombs not because she likes it but because her parents did it first. What a way to assassinate a character. Hell compare the reasons she looks for the Scion in TR1 vs Anniversary.
