It doesn't need "fixing", it's in the best state it's been in since the 90s with a whole new generation of fans cultivated by the movies and recent games.

When you think about it, it's legit impressive that they found a character model/design they liked so much it has been untouched (Boom excepted, and even then only slightly) for decades.

in isolation all the changes could have worked on a unique game, but it had to be applied to an existing IP for some reason. i don't know why people are afraid to make talking points about making modern game design without touching old designs. is it so hard to let your work stand on its own?
