Not really cause the Internet isn't the same place anymore and games have evolved in terms of gameplay so it's not exactly interesting anymore. All modern ROs are just mobile cashgrabs filling their niche. ToS does the very same which I find visually more appealing.

Brother that wasn't even a thing people were doing back in the 2000s. Guilds had their own forums, vent/teamspeak servers, irc chatrooms, etc.

Guild forums and teamspeak weren't as widespread as you think. It was more common for people to make a small group of friends in-game and log off, only to speak to each other when they log back on. You just had to go off of "dude I'll be on tomorrow same time".
