Torch stop mobs from spawning, but i've literally never had an issue with them spawning under my creeper holes
>>719699710 (OP)
I don't get it. What is this trying to show? I don't play Minecraft but I know that torches prevent mob spawns within a certain radius or something but what's the point of digging a hole like that? Could you just dig two blocks down, place a torch on the bottom then put the top block back in place? Why hollow out the ground like that?
>>719699710 (OP) >noooo put a torch under there or fill it up so mobs dont spaaaaawwwn >why? >b-because otherwise mobs will spawn! >and? >... w-well, then there will be mobs spawning there >so mobs that cant touch me, trapped in a whole, taking up the mob count and therefore making the surface actually safer at night?
dumb argument.

they make noise which can ruin the ambience you may be trying to create and if you wish to build your own mob spawner then taking up the mob count is not useful.

creepers exploding is unnatural though, you literally never see any naturally generated creeper craters. it's your unnatural presence that causes them to unnaturally explode.

by loading into the world i become a natural part of it, and it is their natural inclination as a species to explode near me. it is a natural cycle of chasing and escaping

There are no IRL creatures that commit suicide by exploding. Just letting you know
>>719701067
the other anon isn't me and he succinctly drove home my point but i want to post anyway so you can be embarrassed doubly. this was not the gotcha you thought it was
>>719701067 >There are no IRL creatures that commit suicide by exploding.
W R O N G >When threatened, "exploding ants" (Camponotus saundersi) can contract their abdominal muscles so hard that their body wall ruptures, releasing a sticky, toxic fluid that entangles and poisons attackers. The ant dies in the process. >Termites (Neocapritermes taracua) - Some termite species have old workers with special "blue crystals" in their abdomens. When they rupture themselves, the crystals mix with glandular fluids to create a sticky, toxic goo. This slows or kills enemies such as ants. >Bombardier beetles (Brachinus explodens) donβt kill themselves, but they do blast boiling hot, toxic chemicals from their abdomen. The chemicals are produced in separate chambers and only mix at the moment of firing, creating an actual chemical explosion. The beetle survives this, making it a reusable weapon rather than a suicide attack.

Low hanging fruit, but also there's >Colobopsis saundersi (synonym Camponotus saundersi), also called the Malaysian exploding ant, is a species of ant found in Malaysia and Brunei, belonging to the genus Colobopsis. A worker can explode suicidally and aggressively as an ultimate act of defense, an ability it has in common with several other species in this genus and a few other insects.

Some people get paid to wagecuck while doing nothing because their job only requires them to do something for 1/8th of the time they're scheduled for but that 1/8th can happen literally at any moment. .

If a creeper explodes or you just want to terraform you have the choice of either filling all the space with blocks or placing a light source in the hole to prevent mobs from spawning then just cover it with a thin layer of dirt
>>719702202 >A single stone pressure plate
Probably nobody >A field full of stone pressure plates, not all of which activate anything
Some people might fall for that.
>>719700715 >i also like to leave the stumps from trees i've cut down so the land is covered in the scars of industrial progress
Sounds like a nice idea, I remember a server I played on had a group of players do that to their nearby jungle
