How do I get to this fight. I killed the HK and became the vessel and I assumed that was the end of the game.

go to the queens gardens

find the white lady

go back to the hollow knight and fight him again

I think that's it anyway I haven't beaten it in awhile, go explore the howling cliffs to start the sidequest that leads you to the DLC boss too which is the best in the game

I still don't understand why the moth god attacked hollownest. I've watched some lore videos but they never really mention it. Is it just unknown? Why were the radiance and the pale king fighting? Also if the pale king could see the future why didn't he try to make peace with the moth before it attacked?

If you mean platformer then its an excellent one;

Its just a great boss made with modern standards, if i had to give a score it would be like 9/10 or so, i find the design kinda boring and goofy but thats inherent with the artstyle of the game, everything is cute-fied.

If you want rough bossfights go to any average platformer from the old gens, like for example, Actraiser, love that game, but its fights are very barebones (the standard of the time)

Even if the moths hadn't forgotten, Radiance wouldn't have been very happy with the new god regardless. Would've ended things much more quickly and enjoyed the new subjects. The end was inevitable regardless of whatever actions the Pale King took, and he tried just about all of them.
The one course he took allowed Hallownest to thrive for an aeon and maybe even reemerge with the new knight's void unity, that was the only long shot with any chance.

I FUCKING LOATHE it. Only fight I havent done radiant in hog, and by the time I do Poh im too shaky to win. Worst parts of the fight
-screenshake constantly (switched to pc to turn that off)
-Orbs spawning on top of you
-climb phase being neurotic
-feint beam wall when you dash through it
-strategy boiling down to sitting in bottom platform until she gets in range for a spall or hits
-sometimes spawning ontop of you with beam or blade circle

I just dont feel like I have the reaction time for it.

The best fight in the game is Nightmare King Grimm. Perfect Vessel, Hornet final round, Sisters of Battle, and Broken Vessel are the other 10/10 fights. Lost Kin, Sly, and Prince Zote are 9/10 because they are also bullshit.

Both fights are great. They're solid mechanically with a good aesthetic and theme. Absolute radiance was the most challenging fight in the game for me and the void ending was worth it. My only complaint is sticking it at the end of a long boss rush.

I think the only part that's a little silly is getting the Void Soul since there's fucking nothing in the abyss so there's no reason to assume you need to go back after getting the shade cloak. There's no hint of there being a breakable section either since it only reacts if you have the Kingsoul equipped and there's a good chance you won't stumble on it while it's equipped since the Kingsoul takes up 5 notches so you might not be using it

Regular Radiance is alright.
Absolute Radiance sucks and only exists to make you yell “FUCK YOOOOOU” after beating P5.

In the starting area shop you can find some very cheap color-coded pins for your map. Whenever you reach some place you can't access because you don't have the necessary tools yet or you just want to go somewhere else, you just stick a pin on that place on your map and come back to it later. At about 30% of the game you will have everything you need to traverse 99% of the map. As long as you're thorough and explore Hallownest, you will somehow stumble into the true ending sooner or later.

Besides, the game does give you some pointers. Whenever you talk to the old granpda bug in Dirtmouth, he will comment on the latest events or start mentioning an area you should look into. Or just listen to Hornet's instructions ("go seek the grave in ash" - it should ring some bells when you find Kingdom's Edge and see a giant corpse while ash is falling everywhere)

I'm glad I got the true ending, but I'd prefer if Hollow Knight just upgraded to Pure Vessel, and Radiance was a boss you fight in the White Palace, forcing her to retreat into Hollow Knight to be ultimately defeated.

8/10. It's very intense, has good adjustments as you progress, doesn't go too far either way in terms of challenge, and has multiple viable strategies, but it has a few aspects that are too RNG for me to rate it higher and the boss herself could stand to be more active.

I think Lady Ethereal did the same basic design concept a bit better.

Default is basic.
Absolute is hard enough where mindlessly playing might get me killed, even with charms.
Radiant is a nightmare even with charms. Magnify that difficulty by an unfathomable amount when not using charms. I've only done Charmless Radiant Absolute Radiance once and never again, wish I recorded it lol.
All-Bindings Absolute Radiance made me shake with fear the first time, plus she killed me six times too, but other than that she's not bad but still the biggest bitch in the gauntlet because she can clean you quickly if your performance prior is sloppy.

How the fuck do you beat Pure Vessel and NKG and struggle with Lost Kin/Sly/Zote? Zote literally gives you free pogo nonstop and free hits every time he does just about anything, Sly is the most predicable boss in the game by a mile, and LK is like 3 moves each of which is punishable, and keeping in mind to whack the spawns (if you don't want to cheese him with the dung defender charm).

Literal skill issue. Sly is possibly the only late game boss I was able to hitless after 2 attempts. He has like 3 attack patterns, all of which are super predictable, short, with short ranges, and highly predictable.
