Wow indie devs are vocal about Silksong’s release and they’re not happy. They’re discontented with how the game just dropped out of nowhere and that it’s only $20. A lot of them were holding out hope for a fairer standard and a better chance for their own games to shine. Now there's even a petition that's garnered thousands of signatures to have the price changed. Obviously Team Cherry won’t change anything, but it shows just how unhappy other devs really are.

I thought $20 was already the standard for high priced indie games? Anything higher is an exception or is actually an AA dev team (technically can still be indie but the term is now more associated with solo devs). What indies price higher than that?

SnK was definitely more disappointing since it had the potential up until the very end. I bailed on JJK pretty early because it all but entirely threw out the interesting world/character building to devolve into a pile of uninteresting powerscaling and weightless fights, after every other character didn't get anything resembling satisfying development I don't know why people were expecting it to happen for gojo

I kept up with JJK just for cool fight artwork, whoch was noticeably worse at the end of the series than the beginning (which happens to a lot of WSJ authors, in fairness. Weekly deadlines are taxing as hell I'm sure)
But yeah SnK was the bigger letdown. Having a sneak-peek "final panel" that ended up not happening makes me wonder how much was changed around from Isayama's plan, and how far in advance those changes happened
