With how slow I played Anno 1800 I don't think I'm gonna make it far

I don't play Ubisoft games, especially Anno games after one of the devs told me on twitter (me specifically) to not play their games. But if I did play Ubisoft games, I wouldn't play another Anno game considering how many hoops you had to jump through just to play Anno 2070, the last Anno game I could tolerate.

Yes, except made by german leftists. No penultimo either.

You mean the shit from 1800? Well, black legionares, female blacksmiths and boat commanders.

You will get to play the two basic tiers of population only, no trade, no settling on other islands, it's rather boring, nothing happens, except you fighting with a clunky UI. It's a step back from Anno 1800 in my authoritative opinion. Wait until the ultimate version with all DLC goes on sale for 75% less.

That's like 5 years later

This. If you played 1800 this feels like a cheap hollow copy with a broken UI.

Oh, skipping this then.

I have Ubisoft as a dev and subsequently all their affiliates blocked by default on steam so I'll never see a game by them or anyone they publish for.

Yes, I know. You won't miss out on anything of value. Just play Anno 1800 until then.
