Hollow Knight started as a humble kickstarter that was looked down for being yet another "souls-like metroidvania" hybrid, ended up being THE "souls-like metroidvania" hybrid, with The Knight becoming the most iconic indie metroidvania protagonist of all time, as well as the game having one the most uniquely recognizable artstyles in video game history

Sequel took 7 years to be finished and not only it's looking to be even better than the original, not only people who pleaded for the original Hollow Knight are getting it for free, it'll also be a ridiculously cheap game going for just U$ 20 in an era where AAA developers claim that U$ 70 + Battle Passes + Microtransactions are the bare minimum to be considered profitable

I played Hollow Knight years ago and never beat it because it felt way too long and boring. I love Metroid, though. Not a big fan of Castlevania, but I've also played stuff like Axiom Verge and Touhou Luna Nights. Hollow Knight just wasn't that good and I think it's one of the most overrated games ever. HOWEVER, I'm happy the fans finally got their sequel.

This is basically the only thing I remember about the game. It makes me kind of nostalgic, but I don't really know for what, because I didn't play the game at a particularly memorable time in my life.
