keep close to him, running and dodging is often more effective than trying to deflect
umbrella can be useful if you've got the fire upgrade, especially against that one fireball attack (not the third phase one) he does when he's got some space from you
when he jumps up just run away, and once he hits or is about to hit the ground jump up and grapple back onto him
use the anti-ghost whistle 3 times for an easy third phase
and use divine confetti, or if you don't have any at least the purple flame vent weapon buff

Resurrection is a genuinely amazingly crafted total rework mod by someone who understands the game better than almost anyone else. The bosses are harder in ways that expands on their original concepts and is engaging and isn't your usual fanmade super boss shit like other rework mods like LMTSR or FTSOAA

Its the only Fromsoft game where every single boss is a masterpiece. The whole game is just... complete, there is nothing I would add to it or remove from it. Fromsoft peaked at Sekiro.
