Bombergirl is unironically more creative than the majority of the bomberman franchise.
It's a game that's clearly a love letter to the series and Konami as a whole. Just reading a few comics will make it apparent that the team behind it knows everything about the series extremely well.

The anime girl bullshit is a front. And don't get me wrong the gacha aspect is complete horseshit too. But that said a lot of the work surrounding Bombergirl is genuinely a creative love letter to not just Bomberman but Konami in general.
