the ai is broken as fuck, there are no interior locations, the community is a bunch of faggots who take themselves way too seriously. there's a reason it only attracts a certain playerbase. i like coming back to it once in a while to make big battle scenarios and then remember the game runs like dogshit and then uninstall again

I get it, I Iike the freedom it gives the player and the operational layer, but there are some cheese strats in it that are very off putting.
It's a shame that there are no refoger Conflict conversion mods to ARMA 3, it would be a cool mode to play with all the stuff it has and the giant maps, I like REFORGER, but the compromisses for consoles makes it feel weaker in a lot of ways.

Arma 3 is one of the best military simulators because of the freedom it gives you in the editor. The problem is its outdated engine, which doesn't even use 20% of your CPU (performance under 60 fps on a 5070ti) and unnecessary complexity in the editor.
Arma Reforger is shit, just like Arma 3 (engine still shit) but it has better graphics
but desu bohemia doesn't care about arma anymore they are developing some software for military use now and arma is just an open beta to develop their AI

The company making military simulator has nothing to do with the video-game one since a long time ago.
ARMA 3 runs a LOT better now, you can keep steady 60 FPS with a good CPU.
