Jeff in the comics has no powers other than to breathe on land as a little shark, and is absolutely tiny. They made him way bigger and gave him various hydrokinetic powers in the game. Punisher has his insane arsenal in the game like a giant turret he can summon. Mantis has a bunch of new powers that have no counterpart in the comics.

In any case, Daredevil has a lot of history with the Hand and other Asian groups, there's been magic stuff in his stories many times. The guy literally journeyed to hell recently to rescue Foggy's soul. In-game it's likely gonna be melded with his own natural super senses. Like extending his own blindness to others to obscure their vision for an Ult or something, maybe.

Daredevil will get the same to facilitate whatever ability needs it, as well as doing his usual super-senses and acrobatics. Probably an Ult ability.

I've looked around and the X0X group seem to be the best at datamining and reporting accurately without going wild on speculation or assumptions. Probably helps that it's a group, not one dude.

Deadpool or Captain Marvel seem like likely candidates, like Rogue, Gambit and Angela they've also had voiceline references in datamining. I imagine they record a large batch of upcoming characters' reference lines for the game's current VAs at once, rather than having recording sessions every season. Even the new swimsuits for Sue and Mantis are references to two costumes of theirs (Sue's notorious 90s outfit and Mantis's first 70s outfit). They're pairing her with Daredevil, an A lister. And she's being given a particularly striking design to make her stand out. It's quite smart, you don't want to blast out only the heaviest hitters nonstop, they gotta be spaced out so you still have big names to add in year 2 and year 3. Throwing in curveballs or lesser known characters at about a 15-20% slice of the total added is quite reasonable.

Otherwise the additions post launch so far have been the Fantastic Four, Marvel's first family, Emma Frost, one of the most prominent X-Men characters, Ultron, one of the Avengers' most longtime foes, Phoenix, an OG X-Men member, and Blade, a longtime fan favorite with a much beloved movie version. A lesser known Thor supporting character (formerly of Image Comics' Spawn) with a distinctive design and role for the game seems fine to put in alongside Daredevil, especially for the "devil vs angel" theme they're going for.

Leaks have indicated Season 5 is Rogue and Gambit, another two of the most iconic X-Men members, so I'm still seeing that ratio intact.

The actual Hickman run of it was strong and a very welcome change of pace for the X-Men franchise, an actual attempt to shake up the status quo and move past the basic 1970s depiction of them as the oppressed minority.

It fell apart when they decided to extend it past Hickman's original intent of a 2.5 or so year story, but didn't know what they were doing so they just dragged it out nonsensically then ended it nearly as nonsensically. Still incoming at some point hopefully. They have a LONG list of characters in the datamining, and it's impossible to know exactly what order they're currently scheduled in, what stage of development they're at, or whether they are radically revamped since they were spotted in datamining.

The only stronger indicators of imminent people is their presence in voiceline responses from other characters and a few other datamining references such as artwork, detailed kits, map references, etc. Angela, Gambit, Rogue, Deadpool and Captain Marvel have all had voiceline responses from other characters in the game in the last few months, and some of the more reliable leakers said Rogue and Gambit are coming in Season 5. The same one also said before Season 3 that coming soon were Phoenix, Blade, Daredevil, Rogue, Gambit, Professor X and an unknown Vanguard (which was Angela), that's a pretty decent track record.

And of course, you can predict imminent heroes simply by reading the lore entries and gallery cards, as they're pretty heavily foreshadowed. It wasn't a surprise that Phoenix came in Season 3 for instance, nor that she was combatting Knull as the season villain, and likewise Daredevil and Angela aren't a shock, the Season 4 story has been built up for a while too. I already know just from reading lore entries that the Collector's Museum will be a future map/season for instance, and a followup to the HYDRA base map, on the planet Maveth.

And let's be honest, at some point, they ARE going to do a genuine Z lister, even if it's just the one, simply to prove that they can and will. Locus is indeed, a bona fide Z lister (while also being a pretty unique character; a little ordinary looking balding guy in a business suit that makes energy constructs, that's funny and memorable as a gag character AND viable in gameplay both). Why? They almost certainly have that many characters in some stage of development, maybe even more. They said themselves the next twelve months of heroes are already on a release schedule, that's six seasons of hero releases set. Plenty more will be in earlier stages of development, even more are just on a whiteboard somewhere. Angela is a stance character:
Bar under reticle is some sort of damage boost that gets activated when max. Flying passively builds it, builds faster with more speed as well as blocking with the 300 shield that can be used at any time (right click).

Flight Mode:
Primary is a spear poke. Nothing special except damage seems to be huge when the meter is maxed, so you're supposed to joust.
Shift speeds her up and gives her a Reinherat charge with a lot of displacement.
E have her slam to the ground and switch to Axe Mode. If the meter is maxed, it seems to generate some sort of AOE field that gives her a damage boost

Axe Mode:
Her Axe is boosted in the AOE field from slamming with huge damage for 2-3hits.
Her axe gives 30BHP per hit, seems to hit twice a sec.
E have her jump up and go into flight mode. Seems odd that it has 12s CD, so if she commits to the ground, she's stuck for a while.
