The sales have been getting worse and worse each year. Luckily my steam account is just for shitty MMO's like stalcraft X and multiplayer only online games like squad so I'm not too deep in their ecosystem.

Use heroic games launcher flatpak on linux to sandbox the games with no internet connection and keep a 2TB drive of your games and burn them in a CD case with bluray. It's free and you will never get a virus.
