investing in this game isn't bad. Valve will never shut it down and artificial scarcity guarantees prices going up. It really depends on what happens to steam if Gaben can't live long enough to make it to the immortals club.

By getting rid of physical property and cash you can easily squeeze money out of people. If you had to hand over dollars in person I guarantee you more people would think twice about the stuff they pay for.

I don’t understand how people justify buying skins in the first place, atleast with CounterStrike or some other steam games you can sell them for a mint but how do people go on some Gacha or Battle Royale and drop upwards of $20~$80 on skins

It's not that, unc. My inventory us something like $10000 worth now and I spent about 500 600 bucks opening cases.
The reason is that a lot of popular skins drop from old cases that are in a limited supply. When those run out as well, the prices will skyrocket.

Its not manipulating. Its multiple factors like chink skin collectors, butterfly knife animation being liked by people and rarity since they drop from old cases with limited supply.

I pay for absolutey everything in cash. I love seeing the look of confusion on the face of the zoomer cashier as he thinks to himself "oh shit... I know I was taught something about this in training... ummmmm... oh yeah, money go in till! But I have to give some back? Uhhhhh..." and half the time they give the wrong amount of change. I look them dead in the eye with a grin on my face and tell them they messed up my change, and the look of panic is priceless, kek.

The game has like 20 different knives now, opening a single butterfly costs the community somewhere between $10000 at this point, and it is the most desirable knife in the game. What exactly is manipulative about it? Although there are things being manipulated nowadays, knives are not one of them.

The newer gloves are pretty safe, they are manipulating the gen 1 gloves because they are a lot more rare, but it is comical to see some shitty camo handwraps going for $400 now when you can get some new colorful sport gloves for the same price
