If you terraform you're basically spitting into the developers eyes and onto his vision for how the level should have looked.
I'm on team Jesus, I don't do heinous shit like that. I hope you get on the right path soon, brother.
Once you learn to just break the paths so the guests can't wander and get lost in the unused sections it's one of the easiest parks in the game. Jesus people are dumb.

What about using terraforming is "easy mode" to you? Like, what problems can it even solve?
Trying to actually do things with terraforming always felt like hard mode to me just because of how fucking expensive it gets to move any significant amount of land around.

The hill leading up to the banked turn on the right side doesn't have any scenery placed high enough that the riders can see. Build a tower or something so they have something to look at while the car is going up the slope.
>Getting fucked in the ass by a horse looks too intense for me. >Getting fucked in the ass by a horse was great! >Just looking at Getting fucked in the ass by a horse makes me feel sick.

Parkitect has a bit more mechanical complexity and some QoL improvements. More flexibility with track construction and a lot more ability to decorate and make custom structures.
Also good mod support and the night lighting can look really nice.
>made an openrct2 server probably 7 years ago and played with /v/ on it (pic related). >during all this time I've been wanting to do that again >it never happened due to lack of motivation to do so
>>719775876 >YOU BUILT AUSCHWITZ >IN MY FUCKING OPENRCT SERVER >I was going to build, like, a roller coaster here or something >BUT YOU BUILT FUCKING AUSCHWITZ!
Most of my time in Evergreen Gardens as a kid was placing fountains and stalls anyway. Maybe small rides where they'd fit. I don't think I even learned how to make good stat rollercoasters until RCT2 came out.
>Dude with hyper-specific autistic knowledge on RCT >Every video is a treat, he explains everything perfectly >For some fucking reason he brings modern culture war shit into one of his videos >The backlash is so bad that he just stops his let's play after two more videos and never comes back to it
I'm still upset.

lol
you'd figure creators would wisen up to the fact that people are sick of LGBT advocacy being shoved down their throats. they've had rights for a decade now, who fucking cares
especially a creator whose content is focused on a relatively obscure retro game. and lgbt are not bullied year round lmao, you catch bans everywhere for homophobia and god forbid you do it irl (unless you live in a red area)
>>719778450
Every time people post comments like this they never seem to grasp the fact that it's not going to change anybody's mind and only makes them look preachy. I'd watch his videos to hear about some obscure RCT shit, not get a fuckin sermon in the comments/video itself.
Anyways, people should post more rides/screenshots in this thread. I've only got so many since I haven't hopped on the game in awhile.
I played rct3 as a kid all the time. Way too much.
Then planet coaster came out, that wasn't that great.
Parkitect came out, that's good but something is just off.
I tried open rct2years back but it was a little jank and hard to play. And i don't think i can go back to rct3, that's completely rose tinted glasses for me (and windows compatibility).
>>719778832 >Anyways, people should post more rides/screenshots in this thread
I agree, I regret bringing it up. Already a fuckhead has shown up to try and make this a /pol/ thread.
Anyway, did anyone else get these games in cereal boxes as a kid? I remember pouring one into my bowl and it was amazing.
The last thing I need is some Youtuber telling me all the mechanics of RCT and how to optimize the fun out of it. I raised umbrella prices more and more because my mom decided to watch me play it one day and told me to keep raising the prices, they've gotta buy them if they don't wanna be wet. Funny she still brings that up today, like she doesn't even play vidya but she still recognizes how kino RCT was. It was one of my first PC games, we didn't get a PC until like 2000.
>>719778979
I ended up with RCT1 Deluxe since it was on sale for cheap when i was little. Was too scared and retarded to build coasters since i built a bad one, people died, and the explosion jumpscared me.

Ahhh terrain coasters my beloved >>719778450
Man what a fag, such a shame.
I still got OpenRCT2 on here, gonna start a new park on Evergreen Gardens tomorrow for old times' sake.
Shoutout to any anons that got RCT2 in a cereal box back in the day

I'm just saying that there's no reason to act surprised when you choose to add something to your ride that increases the nausea rating by +10 and imposes multiple 1/4 penalties on its excitement rating. You're allowed to do it, but adjust your expectations accordingly and don't be surprised when people aren't willing to pay 20 Euros to ride it. It'll still add 100 or so to your park's soft cap, but be prepared to hire extra jannies to sweep up the resulting vomit.
>>719778941
I think you need to get RCT3 working if it's really the one you liked as a kid. Does it really not run on Widnows? I grew up with RCT1/2 but I thought 3 was alright and I think Planet Coaster is decent too but usually I just play OpenRCT2.
>>719769801 (OP)
I know that feeling. Like 4 missions in and you get Evergreen Gardens, a gigantic, well decorated park. It felt wrong to touch anything there. It felt finished. I couldn't bring myself to cut down trees and put rollercoasters.
>>719771520
No! Keep arguing with me even though I never intended to let you win! I NEED to see people futilely struggle to meet a deliberately impossible goal! It makes me feel powerful and important! AND IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT GETS ME HARD ANYMORE!
>>719779390
Reminds me of how modern movies seem allergic to having any colors that pop at all, so what you're left with is a bunch of blue filters over everything.
If you're whipping around a tight turn at 70mph of course nobody's going to want their spine snapped. The same goes for going through a vertical loop, you can't have them go so fast through those.
>>719779427
Coasters have minimum requirements for good stats, things like height, drops and speed. They also have max requirements for g forces and if they're too high you get negative stats. You only need to bank your turns to not fuck up too hard
>>719770840
This is the best strategy for any large, empty park. Break the paths into smaller sections, then when you finish building up the first area, move on to the second.
>>719769801 (OP) > This level always prevented me from playing the game further
Same but for a different reason
My autistic ass always felt bad for ruining a perfect lookin, tranquil green paradise like that by adding adding some shittass rides.
It felt criminal.
Actually, I did something similar in Minecraft where I would make sure all my buildings would blend with the scenery as much as possible.
>>719779943
That's a trick I learned from Sim Coaster. The game did it for you in that one since it was tied to the progression system, and I realised it was just a good strat in general.
nice, I was thinking about this game a couple days ago, I still have my saved parks on an ancient flash drive, but the usb connection broke off from the chip
>>719778941
Yeah, took me a bit to get used to openrct2, i was too used to RCT3 stuff aswell, loved the game and modded the shit out of it, expansion made it even better and auto complete was very nice aswell
>>719779560 >The same goes for going through a vertical loop, you can't have them go so fast through those
But I'm trying to turn all my park guests into midgets!
I absolutely despise Planet Coaster, its entire UI and control system sucks cock and they dont let you kill guests but instead shove in gay niggers and trans families. Is Parkitect actually closer to RCT?
Speaking of: I reinstalled Sim Theme Park World the other week. I'm surprised how much lack of info there is on the game and how it works, but I guess it is much simpler than the average tycoon game. Still I hope we'll get a proper remake. I really enjoy the fantasic elements of sim theme park and just adds such an extra layer of charm.

Or just build OpenRCT on the demo instead of the full game, since it only needs the assets. It's a 23-year-old game, nobody's gonna lose sleep over whether your copy is 100% legit or not.
