Depending on the crowd, I suppose...

I know some people accepted this kind of proposal and why they're all quiet about it but I also made a WEG, it isn't too popular but I'm trying. There was a donor that was giving hefty donations for a while, kissing my ass, being helpful and so on in our discord, I found the behavior somewhat strange but didn't think much of it. That was until they started pressing more and more for me that add LGBT+ stuff into the game. Not just pronouns but changing the body type instead of male/female to A and B, adding the usual flag cosmetics, etc.
It was gradual, before I kicked and banned then from discord, I did look up the history of their message did have a strange shift, from being less kissass and more pushy on the LGBT+ stuff. I had to ban him because it got to an annoying degree, even at one point threatening to pull away from donating and creating a scene with other users and I had to let it slide since he was the one that donated the most, while I tried to be as respectful as I could on saying I'm only adding stuff that I like into the game and his input was valuable still.
What I'm trying to say, or rather, hint at, is that some WEGs glow and had the help from wealthy benefactors to push that agenda. Mine got bombarded with negative reviews, doxxing and the popularity plummeted because I didn't agree to it. I mean, it's at least a good thing what I do is a passion project rather than try to live off it otherwise I'd be fucked.
I think this is why nowadays you see so many other WEGs with that kind of stuff, some agency out there is pushing that kind of stuff hard.

There are some things I don't like about the game but "theres too much content" isn't really one of them. Also latex rules. I don't think this is even a real factor relative to people just being annoyed by it being constantly shoved in their face and permeating everything. There was a game I can't remember the name of that was mostly VN with a little bit of light grid based combat and it was really frustrating because there was a lot of effort put into some areas. Like it had fleshed out lore + nice character art with different outfits and transformations, but they completely fucked up the TG aspect of it by having the transformation be before the story starts, having the MC have basically zero memories of when they were male and explicitly say they have zero attraction to females anymore and are 100% submissive right from the start. So there's no internal conflict or stakes for the MC, no options for the player to steer the character down different paths and there would be literally no difference to anything happening if the MC was just always a straight female with no mention of any gender transformation.

Free Cities is fun for that, but it's a top down management game rather than having a tailor-made sissy to feminise.

the game i keep coming back to is clean slate because it feels so open and the different side stuff is fun but its missing a good narrative. its more of a life sim though so idk.
