I played the first game. It was good.
But it didn't really blow me away or anything. Don't really get what it is that makes people so rabid about this and the first game. Was Hollow Knight just a lot of peoples first metroidvania or something?

Blasphemous' sequel is fine, definitely launched in a much more streamlined way than 1 did. Since it didn't suffer from any of the baby issues at launch like unresponsive ledge grabs and an utter inability to see if you were about to jump down into a spike pit. Some of the gameplay might've been smoothed out slightly too much, but it's still mostly just "more Blasphemous"
