A lot of the CnC 3/Kane's Wrath quotes are burned into my mind from maybe a thousand hours of playtime on the godamn xbox 360 version
I think the only ones I wouldn't be able to say off the top of my heads are the commandos for both GDI and NOD and the stealth fying infantry units for NOD, as I tended to avoid them due to impossible macro on controller.

It's really extremely important because it makes a world of difference when dealing with epics or trying to keep your harvester alive when getting bike rushed. Like you use Shockwave on the enemy Redeemer and the retard tries to turn around to escape instead of moving through it, ends up with its back exposed, and you can kill it stupid easily.
In large engagements it just means your units can last a couple more shots while retreating, and you can instantly reverse instead of needing to dick around in place to rotate movement.

That's C&C3 vanilla where eco is very easy and you can nonstop spam units. Kane's Wrath (expansion) makes the eco more vulnerable, consequently saving a few extra units in a fight via reverse move can be a big deal.

And if you play Steel Talons, a Mammoth Tank with Adaptive Armor active is damn near impossible to kill from the front unless you have massive overkill.

Generally, if I recall correctly at least, the economy just boomed way slower, due to harvesters having less capacity and dumping their loads slower into the refineries. There might also have been less tiberium growth rate in the fields. Thus having your harvesters destroyed etc meant that it took you way longer to recover from it than it did in vanilla. It has been ages since I played C&C3 or KW so my memory might be innaccurate tho.

Refs cost 50% more (3000 vs 2000) and harvesters are far less tanky. In KW a group of 5 bikes can completely block you from harvesting because you have to order the harvs back to the WF (in reverse move for the armor boost) to heal them while you pump out something to counter the bikes, and hope that your other harvs can dock meanwhile so you are not starved out of eco. Matches can be over before you expand if early harassment kills enough of your eco.

In C&C3 five bikes wouldn't even warrant pulling harvesters off the line because they'd do like 10% damage per volley.

The harvester capacity is the same between both games. Growth rate is the same but do note that growth rate can be set individually for any field in the map editor (some "infinite money" maps have blue fields that replenish instantly and are basically impossible to empty).
