At the very least I wouldn't see the business model changing away from what PSO2 started unless Sega wanted their own GTAV or some shit (something Crimson Desert is probably wanting to do), and the continuity would probably be a new one. Gameplay either lazily doubles down on the unfun shit NGS already does, or goes for something a bit different, while very short characters would probably be off the menu entirely for all regions.

what if we get CARD Revolution 2 instead? that game is absolute kino. it deserved so much more than it got. if time/love/thought is put into a game like that it could become a god tier 1v1 (or other formats) competitive experience with nearly endless replayability with comfykino PSO lobbies
