I'm honestly conflicted on whether I want to play that game or not.
The wait time was so long I don't feel anything, even knowing it releases in 2 hours.
On one hand it's been a minute since I've played Hollow Knight and that was a fun game, but on the other I could easily just not touch it and never really look back to it.

I've got like two hours~ to play it before I have to go to work. Thinking I should just dl it and then start tomorrow when my day off starts

I think the anticipation of having *just* tasted it is worth it. You get to sort of immerse yourself in "liking the game" for longer. It's fun.

I told myself I'd clear P5 before Silksong comes out but I got to Absolute Radiance once and while practicing her I only killed her once in almost 2 hours so I think I'll pass on that for my own sanity. Kinda disappointed in myself though :(
On the bright side, I'll get to play Silksong in 2 hours anyways.

I’ve got the exact same setup except I swapped food for a family-size bag of Doritos and a 2-liter Mountain Dew. This entire weekend will be a blur of bug-parkouring and screeching at bosses that look like they crawled out of a fever dream. God I love Metroidvanias.

I already F5 the page, waiting for the hours to turn to minutes. I haven't *awaited* a game in years. Just pick them up sort of a couple weeks after they come out.

I hope they rehash the control scheme enough that it's hard for old players, too, what with the "acrobatics" and all.

48 hours off until I have to wage slave. Going to take my time though, probably will do like 3 10 hour sessions. I don't rush through games like I did in my teens and 20s. Back then my focus was about beating games. Now I care more about absorbing the details than completing a checklist. I'm also a lot better at games than when I was younger so maybe it is a natural development of finding other facets to care about other than difficulty.

I fucking loved Shadow of the Erdtree. The map design and exploration was sublime. Who gives a shit about rewards? The topography itself and navigating to put my feet on every square inch of the land of shadows was its own reward. This will be the same. I can't wait to touch every inch of Pharloom.
