This is a very stupid line of thinking.

NOT allowing preorders when you know reddit drones will buy this regardless of quality, regardless of anything, when you know 100% beyond any shadow of a doubt that it's selling several million copies which will shock ZERO PEOPLE, not allowing preorders means literally every other single game on any online shop suffers, of course it's not equal.

They sprung the game a few weeks ago, knew it would break storefronts and whoever is responsible decided to let it happen even though this is exactly why "pre-orders" exist, it's an order you will already 100% make, it's like having a restaurant with 50 staff. Can they handle a normal dinner service? Of course. Can they handle 10 million orders all at once? No of course not. Someone dropped a ball in a very dumb fashion here.
