Bell Beast isn’t that hard, he killed me once because I got combo’d but you mentioned Hornet 1 when in reality, the boss is a reskin of Moss Charger. Same charge, same jump, same telegraph for both, except it has two new moves and the bells exist. Double damage too. But it’s still moss charger, just can’t knock it back.

You should have two folders a bunch of numbers - that's your steam saves and "default" or might be something else for you but that other one should be the GOG save data just copy everything from that folder to the folder with the numbers

Save 500 rosary beads ASAP. Zote is locked up in the jail on the lower east side of the marrow. You need the simple key to open it, but once you do be prepare for the hardest fight in the first two zones, the Jailer is no joke.

Option a: Spam air dive attacks to pogo on top, locks him in swings and lets you rack up damage fast.
Option b: hit and run, you get openings when he pops out of the ground which you should be able to force if you get enough distance. If his jump attack is too hard to read you can counter attack when he slams to parry it and negate the hit.
Took me a bit but it is very doable without a dash, if a little annoying.

You can sequence break right here. There is an elevator you unlock that leads back down to the moss hub and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU UNLOCK IT, because the sequence break requires you bounce off of moving bug. The bounces are incredibly hard to make and if you kill one you will fall all the way to the village and have to start all over again. It leads you to a very high level area where you will get one shot by everything and it takes a shit ton of attacks to kill anything.

When you die, you start from the last checkpoint (in Metroidvania it's usually some kind of the camp wthich restores your HP and other stuff, not ) The game is also difficult but it doesn't work on roguelite principles

I guess it's just not for me. I like Ender Lilies and the sequel but can't get myself to play Hollow Knight more than an hour. Everything just looks drab and there's no gameplay variety.
At least in Ender Lilies you can dodge immediately from the start and you consistently get new attacks after beating bosses.

I feel like it does, so you won't get clipped by moving enemies after connecting the attack.

Cleared Hunter's March and Deep Docks and stopped after fighting the brat. Game feels like it will be very fun but I need some more tools in my kit to make the combat feel significantly different to the first game. The pogo having horizontal momentum isn't cutting it any more.

Well it's fine for an early game boss, especially after you go through the absolute dogshit entire area with the red spikes and the ultra tanky enemies and cancer platforming which makes you wonder if you really were supposed to go there and you haven't missed an area before.

I just noticed enemies were too tanky and left it for later.
When the random ant soldiers are harder than bosses then it's obvious the area is meant for later.
