People started to justify it as a valid metric of how good a game is, because clearly if people are buying the games and booting them on a legitimate platform, that must mean the game is good. The problem with this is that while it can be an accurate measure, these numbers do not come with any sort of context and they do not account for people playing pirated copies, platforms that do not track this info. There's also millions of people in the world playing games any given time, but we cannot know the exact number. I saw an interesting thing the other day- aol is apparently finally shutting down their dial-up service, which apparently 163k people still use in the United States. The reason I bring this up is because in the grand scheme of things, 163k people across even the United States really isn't a ton of people and if we're talking globally, having that many players is a drop in the bucket compared to people playing games worldwide. It just looks that impressive because we have to go off of the scale of what Steam is reporting.

You misunderstand. The great firewall keeps them in. There's nothing stopping (You) from invading their spaces if you learned Mandarin.

What the west needs is protection from the brownoid hordes

nta but like in korean naver forums you can't easily post on chinese platforms

sure apps like rednote allow it but they can and do filter you out whenever they want - like kicking nick fuentes the moment he tried posting his stream link there

stuff like douyin, weibo and main bilibili servers can't be fully accessed without chinese national id - only vietnam can recently because they allowed it

Younger generations flocked to this website. Being raised on social media they literally can not conceive of things existing in a vacuum for fun. They watch tiktok, twitch and YouTube fags who try to get as most views as possible. REMEMBER TO SMASH THAT BELL. And every site they use has some sort of upvote like bullshit. And they're raised from it at 3 years old when their single mom who never gives the attention throws them ipad.

Therefor numbers are the only thing that matters. If no one else can validate their interest it's wrong.

Now this is all coming from human nature but social media ipad babies got extremely conditioned and this problem got exponential. We always had faggot journalists people would get their shitty validation from even back in magazine only days. (But kill all zoomers anyways)
