HK sold something like 15mil. The AAA games in Pic related sold around 30 mil each.
So some indie game reaching even half as much as those giants is absolutely insane. Games like minecraft,terraria,and stardew valley have always been outliers.

Cheap+Fun is always a great combo if you want a boatload of sales over a long period of time.
