It's just ok, there's basically no combat and challenge in it and the enemies are just around ramdomly like a romhack with very little care for level design, It's 100% carried by music and visuals. Saying it's better than Hollow Knight or on the same level as Super Metroid is absurd, it's not even better than the Castlevania games on the NES.

I'm a new Castlevania fan (first started playing them in 2021) and even though HoD is my favorite SotN is by far the best even beating PoR. SotN is just that good.

i never got the "metroidvaina" genre, because castlevania was an action platformer no rpg no exploration and metroid always was the rpg backtracking exploration game, so the word metroidvania is full retarded and was very hurtful to the metroid franchise who slowly died and was forgotten

You have to unlock the sprint in Silksong. In Super Metroid, you had it right from the get go. That alone makes it the superior game.
