I'm not a communist, I'm a Cronyist. I believe that people I like should have money and power and people that I don't like should sit and spin. Indie devs have forgotten that making video games is a hobby to be done in nights and weekends while you work an real job. If your game can also sell at the end, great, but the fun should be the process of making the game and the enjoyment you get out of people playing and liking it, not the potential monetary gain.

Exactly. There are enough free games, not even factoring in piracy and emulators, that you could feasibly go your entire life never paying for a video game and still playing good games. The video game market is beyond super-saturated. If you expect me to toss you a few bucks for your game it has to at least be good or novel, otherwise I'm just going to stick to the many, many games I already own or can play for free.
