They really defined the whole lets play era of the 2010s at their peak. Unfortunately they never really changed their formula and Twitch overtook them.

I only saw their downfall around after 2017 but they made cool stuff

I look back at the OG days fondly, them moving into other stuff besides RvB like the drunk tank and their shorts. As soon as they hired on Jack and started expanding more, it was the beginning of the end
Everything after they started genuinely hiring lots of people on (I don't know, probably around the third season of rwby or so) it was completely not worth it anymore and lost its soul completely

While I still like them because of nostalgia, the mega64 podcast was at its peak with the guys all in their 20s, they'd make a video and have a podcast and talk about shit that happened while filming then upload a behind the scenes later in the week. Miss that, now they keep the podcast regularly but barely make videos so there's nothing to talk about and behind the scenes etc is all locked behind patreon.

Any place where I can watch rvb? I used to have some of the earliest dvds I bought from a GameStop. I know it got shitty later but the early seasons I remember being good.

i was watching them since the halo 1 days, i watched machinima grow into a major online genre and decline into nothing. i gradually lost interest in rt as rvb got convoluted, a short time after monty died i stopped watching them altogether since rwby and the podcast were the only things i was watching at the time. and without monty there was no point to watch rwby since i was just watching that because i was a fan of haloid.
