Same. Unfortunately this will likely be the last good D&D video game we get in a long while, seeing as the sorts Hasbro/WotC are willing to handle ports of their older games are going (NWN2 Enhanced Edition being a complete shitfest).
Next Larian game might be great, but as far as D&D video games go, this was lightning in a bottle.

I has all the old bugs that the original game had, plus brand new bugs that weren't originally there.
They were only forced to put out a minor statement that they would put out a patch eventually after being hit with Mostly Negative reviews for absolutely zero cmmunication previously.
I don't mess with Persistent Worlds multiplayer in NWN2, but apparently that's been messed up save for the work of fan modders trying to fix things to make it workable in the meantime.

It's the very definition of minimum-effort "just get it to work on consoles" "remaster", but people were fooled because prior Enhanced Editions of D&D video games were actually good (eventually) and have very active communication on work/fixed/enhancements being done.

If you're familiar with the Switch remastered release of Knights of the Old Republic 2, it was done by the same guys as that.

Fantastic game with two major flaws.
1. Act 3 is a disaster if you want to be thorough.
2. The companions feel very alive early on and turn into cardboard cutouts around act 3.

NWN1, yeah. NWN2 was enjoyable (and Mask of the Betrayer expansion had a great story and lore handling), but had too awkward controls and too many mechanical issues to truly be "great".

Daggerdale was pure shit.
Sword Coast Legends was so horribly mid that it was even worse than a bad game. It was simply dull and boring.
Dark Alliance (the newest one, not the old BG:Dark Alliance games) was absolute trash.

D&D video games have not been doing well.
In fact, other than BG3, I'd say Lords of Waterdeep is the only good one since the NWN series, and that is just a video game adaptation of the board game.

The most Minthara has is some dialogue mentioning her trepidation with the inexorable confrontation of Orin and some fun but otherwise throwaway lines concerning Baldur's Gate itself. She may as well be window dressing. The crux of Minthara's problems as a character is that she is the most interesting in Act 1, but becomes boring as shit as soon as she is free from the Absolute's brainwashing. Which is just asinine.

Mage hoods clip with Githyanki Ears and Big Body types (can't remember if they do with normal elven types though), but oddly enough, things like the Bhaal's Assassin Hood do not clip with Githyanki or Elven ears. Which is retarded. Cloth physics are broken and do not work for Cloth of the Tryant and Helldusk Armor for Dragonborn/Githyanki/host of certain other races and just Githyanki, respectively. It has bugged the shit out of me since release date.

Act 3 gives a fuckton of EXP so it's not that bad. The real bottleneck is the Act 2 end/Myrkul. If you're underleveled for him, you're just shit out of luck.

There's a ton of op stuff in the game. Hell just making a paladin will have you one-rounding bosses if you do it right.
