Where you first encounter Shakra in the Marrow, instead of fighting the bell beast you can head west of the bench and pogo across the chasm. If you buy the simple key at the first vendor you can unlock the door there. It's like stepping into deepnest early in HK.

You can dash between the giant lanterns to get there, but if you didn't have the dash you could use the flying bugs to hop across. And yeah I think most of it is accessible but I died far in without a checkpoint and didn't make a second trip yet, got distracted by the "main" path.

Other than movement being better, I'm not liking it as much as HK.

The difference in difficulty between hunter's march being harder than fucking path of pain and all of these goddamn ants and then fighting lace afterwards was insane. I easily beat lace in one tried, meanwhile hunter's march took me hours. But sprinting is acutally such an amazing upgrade, it immediately makes the game feel better than hollow knight.

Before Lace, the path with all the levers and elevators only to end up in that pit with the molten lava bugs doing 3 damage per splash was the cherry on top. This happened before I could afford the fire resistance charm or even encountered the blacksmith.

I just beat the bell beast. It kinda felt like I missed some upgrade to make the fight easier, but whatever. And is it just me or is the charm system is kinda ass? I have 3 charms and they all competing for the same slot.

Played for 6 hours 43 minutes. Got the wall cling and also freed the bell town from Widow. Backtracked around to earlier spots, got the blue health tool and did side quests like beat the Skull Tyrant.

Gripes are Compass shit still, especially with how even more limited we are on slots and types of slots. Only one actual spell equipped at any time and the ledge mantle can be a little weird when I just want to jump to the side and swipe up but she grabs the ledge

Dont know if it's my input device but the swift step jump feels really delayed

How do I get this last fruit? Just down attack it without trying to fall?

The pogo really is awful. It's okay in fights but for platforming it feels really unresponsive to switch directions, and it doesn't go as far down as it feels like it should.

I like how linear the game is, probably opens up at some point but I'm liking it thus far, feels kinda like metroid fusion in a way

Yes, the game is way harder. Hornet also feels weaker than the Knight. Her spells are worse, her mobility options have way higher skill ceiling and all enemies are in a permanent evil cunt mode.

My advice, you don't need to chain your pogos immediately. you have a small window after each pogo where you can adjust Hornet's position. I found that this helped me a lot and made these part much easier.

I find this more difficult but it's more difficult cuase of the environments and enemies unlike in HK where I felt the main challenge was the Knight's slow ass clunky ass movements. Hornet is so quick and agile that I feel so much more in control of her than I ever did the knight which in term makes the game just feel way more fun.
