I know this is supposed to be bait but Silksong genuinely feels off. The atmosphere and mood isn’t grabbing me as much, level design kinda sucks and is it just me or is it way shorter than HK was?

Maybe Team Cherry lied and really did run into dev hell issues because this doesn’t feel like a polished final product.

You can look it up yourself. This game is basically open-world Ubislop in 2D form, most of the content is side missions. The metroidvania feel is almost completely gone.

You're not wrong, but the issue is that most of that "30 hours" is you bouncing around the map trying to find actual progression. There's zero pacing. Hollow Knight respected your time with how it layered upgrades and pathing. Here it's just "go wherever, maybe you'll get lucky." Quantity of bosses doesn't fix the lack of structure or atmosphere. It feels like they built a big sandbox and forgot to make a game inside it.
