I buyed 4090 actually
50 series has been letdown after letdown, and now the numbers mean nothing because they're advertising every game with 4x frame gen.
Also I can't recall a single time I ever needed 24gb vram for a video game so I don't really think they'll do that.

Nvidia responding to gamer complaints is the biggest indicator I can think of that they think the AI market may slow down sometime soon.

Because the 5080 is already maxing out the CUDA cores on the GB203. To go any higher They'd need to go up to the GB 202 where the 5090 is a cutdown version of the RTX Pro 6000 Workstation card which is an $8000 card. They'd rather sell GB202s for $8000. They don't need an even more cut down version than the 5090 for yield purposes.
I've got an RTX 2080 Super, but the 50 series is just too much for me to hope to work towards. Is an RX 9060/9070 16GB worth it for 1440p gaming because NVIDIA sounds like a boat load of problems for the extra price inflation.
>>719842412 (OP) >not savvy enough to buy a 5070ti which has much better price per performance >too much of a subhuman poorfag to go up to a 5090
5080 owners are the worst types of people. My friend bought a prebuilt with a 5080 in it despite me telling him not to with evidence, I dropped him after that. If you own a 5080 then jump off a bridge.
>>719846582 >Is there really a constant stream of new AMDfags that don't know MLID is pure bullshit?
Of course, where do you think Team Red Fanboys come from?

Yes, you don't need more than that or a 9070xt for 1440p and nothing short of a 5090 is going to do well in 4k so there's no real point of going faster unless you go to the max.
The new super cards will handle 4k. You can already play in 4k on the 4090 or current 5080. Itβs not a massive difference in FPS from the 5090. Watch YouTube comparisons on Cyberpunk ultra.

If that 5070tis was real that'd be nice. I'm a 12gb regular 4070 and it wouldn't be enough to make me upgrade right now BUT that hopefully would mean 18-24gb was becoming their new standard so whenever the fuck I do upgrade it'll be even better at destroying my dick with satanic AI
>>719846462 >My friend bought a prebuilt with a 5080 in it
he probably spent 4k+ on it too with how hard prebuilt companies are price gouging right now
>>719848680
A few weeks ago when I was picking out a prebuilt to buy I saw that 5070 prebuilts were selling for $1450 to $1650. What you linked it just a shit deal if that's USD.

You buy the 5090 because you want the best
A 5080 Super would not be the best so no, it's not a good alternative if you were considering a 5090 in the first place
>>719849078
Biggest problem is that the 5090 pushes the pins to their breaking point ( melting point ). Unironically I would just get a 5080 to not deal with the suicidal 5090's

what other options are there besides stable diffusion and WAN. if you're asking if I plan to bake, yes on small stuff like image loras, no on checkpoints, no idea what the video scene is if there's room for small scale training.

You're fine, by the time 16gb becomes an issue you will have gotten a new card.
The only people getting fucked really are the 12gb non ti buyers
