I found HK to be way too stuffed with things I didn't care about. Especially worse in that the game seems to expect you to be doing multiple full playthroughs with things like giving you achievements for story elements that you only get near the end of the game and have two mutually exclusive options on.
The combat is okay but it's really too simple and doesn't really get interestingly expanded on after the first few bosses. If it were a game that you could complete in 15-20 hours without pulling up guides then most of these wouldn't really be issues, just that it expects you to keep playing well past it's overstayed its welcome.
Basically all of my issues come from how the game comes across as pretentious, both in how it acts like you'll want to be playing it for 50+ hours to traverse the map multiple times and the presentation in general.
